Handwoven Ahimsa silk scarf. Ahimsa Silk, also known as peace silk, cruelty-free silk or non-violent silk, refers to any type of silk that is produced without harming or killing the silk worms. The silkworms survive the process of yarn preparations as the empty cocoons are collected from the wild. As it’s handwoven it has a thicker more rustic touch than the conventional silky fabric.

The colours and prints on Deb Jemmersons work come from natural dyes found in the Eucalyptus leaves and occasionally flowers or plants found on her property in East Gippsland.
